Many people ask me about why they should use Linux... I can't answer that question, I'm not a seller, I'm not trying to change the people's minds... but when they ask me: "Why do you use Linux?" I can select a few reasons...
These are my top 5 reasons about Why do I use linux...
Reason #1: I use Linux because I want to. Is not just because linux is better, the main reason is because I want to use Linux, I need no other reason.
Reason #2: Freedom. I'm free to do whatever I want to on Linux by Free. I can change everything if I want to. I don't have to pay anything, I have full control of my system.
Reason #3: Security. Free of Viruses!!!...
Reason #4: Upgrades. I always got all upgrades by free 
Reason #5: Many choices. I can chosse between many applicacions, desktops, distributions, packages... all by free.
Technically Linux is better... but, if this is not enought, I have more many reasons... that's it.
